Uber is a free application for ride-sharing that completely turned the taxi industry in the world. At the time of writing, it was ranked as the first application in the Travel category on Apple Store. The app offers several riding options, clean interface. Moreover, it is available in numerous countries across the world. 

Design 10/10

Uber has a convenient-to-use and clean design. On the main screen, the developers placed a map where you can follow the taxi cars that are near you. On the bottom, there is a field where you should enter the destination address. By the way, the application automatically suggests a couple of addresses that you are using the most. The main color palette is light, there is no opportunity to switch to the dark theme. All buttons have rounded corners that were made in the material design style. Overall, we liked the app’s design simplicity and usability.

Key Functions 10/10

Uber allows you to request the ride anywhere. For this, you just need to enter the address where you want to go and select the ride option. Uber offers several such options that are varied in each country. The most popular are:

• UberX: one of the cheapest options;
• Black: offers rides in the cars of luxury classes with the professional drivers;
• Jump Bike: the rides on electric bikes;
• UberXL: the rides for the companies with up to 6 people. 

Uber provides users with several payment options: you can pay by card, cash, PayPal, and so on. Also, after the riding, Uber suggests you rate the trip and driver’s professionalism. If you like the trip, you can also leave the tip for the driver. 

Usability 10/10

Uber has an intuitive interface. The developers invested much time to create a really easy-to-use application with a step-by-step guide. First of all, you need to enter the destination address, then — select a car. By the way, Uber provides you with the price estimation. After that, select the ride’s type, and the payment method. That’s all! At the end of the trip, rate the driver and the quality of your trip. 

Cross-Platform Use 8/10

Uber is a mobile-only application. You can download it on Android and iOS devices on Google Play and Apple Store. It is completely free to install, download, and use. The application remembers the information based on the mobile number, therefore, you can’t log in to your Uber account on another mobile phone.

Uber is an excellent application that allows you to order the ride. It offers several ride options that re varied by the comfort and price. In addition to cars, you can also order the electric devices, like bikes or electric car. Uber operates in dozens of different countries and continues to expand.  The app is available on Google Play and App Store for free. There are no additional fees for using — you pay only for the ride.
