SHAREit - Transfer & Share

SHAREit is the application that allows everyone to share the files from one device to another. The application is available on three platforms: Android, iOS, and Microsoft Windows. Although SHAREit is completely free for downloading and installing, it has additional in-app purchases. 

Design 7/10

The SHAREit brand’s colors are blue and white.  White is used as a background color and blue is used for highlighting the icons and buttons. Although there are only two colors, the interface looks a little bit messy. First of all, it is due to a large number of menu tabs and icons. SHAREit has two menus: on the bottom and on the top. In the first case, there are three buttons: Home, Movies, and Games. To switch between them, you need to press the button. The top menu has more menu tabs, and you can switch between them by swiping to the right or left. 

Key Functions 10/10

SHAREit Technologies Co.Ltd, the developer of the application, positions SHAREit as the cross-platform application for fast file sharing. In addition to this feature, the app also has free online feeds. Among them are videos, movies, GIFs, wallpapers, and so on. To make the application even more powerful, the developers added the in-built media player that allows you to broadcast and manage your own videos and music. Despite such a big number of available features in the application, its main advantage still remains the speed of transferring files without losing quality. SHAREit is 200 times faster than Bluetooth! You can transfer the media files of different types: photos, videos, songs, and even installed applications. Please note that access to some features is restricted in the free subscription. 

Usability 8/10

As we mentioned in the Design section, the interface looks a little bit messy. It is due to a large number of menu tabs, icons, and buttons. So you will need time to figure out how the app works. We can’t say that the SHAREit’s interface is intuitive but it uses a lot of common design patterns. Among them are the bottom and top menus, the look of news feed, and so on. 

Cross-Platform Use 9/10

The application is available on three platforms: iOS, Android, and Microsoft Windows. The account information is synchronized between them automatically.  Note, that there are some restrictions in file transferring. For example, although you can use SHAREit to transfer the installed applications, some of them can be not working on the new platform. 

Conclusion

SHAREit is the fast cross-platform file transfer. It was developed and published by SHAREit Technologies Co.Ltd for iOS, Android, and Microsoft Windows platforms. The app shows the incredible transferring speed — up to 20M/s. Although it is considered as the main application’s feature, SHAREit has also other functionalities: the in-built media player, news feed, free movies, songs, and so on. The app is completely free to install and download on all platforms but it has additional in-app purchases.
